After spending two delightful days at the Billings KOA Campground, it was time to move on. Deer Lodge MT , a 262 Mile trek was the destination. As we pulled onto I-90 we could see a snow covered mountain in the distance. Well, the snow got nearer and nearer until you could virtually touch it. What you do not want is ti drive an RV in snow or worse still in icy conditions so we were pleased to see the snow on the ground away from the road and not in the air. It was a really beautiful drive as you can see.
What we like about using KOA for our stopovers is that it is the Mac Donald's of Campgrounds - you can count on it always to be the same standard of quality. Not so at Deer Lodge KOA Maybe the Hosts name was the give away. " Cass Cahill and Ginger-Snap , the canine greeting " ! Well we did not see Ginger but we did see Cass and that, together with the spooky campground was enough to send us scurrying for the exits. We decided to press on to Missoula, 82 miles away - enough distance from Cass and the canine.
