Day 3 Des Moines KOA IOWA

On the road again with our good friends Colleen and Dirk. This time its the North West. First stop was Tom Raper , RV dealer, to pick up the rental that is to be home for Colleen and Dirk for the next six weeks.
Then on on to Crawfordsville IN for the first overnight  stop . The idea is to do legs that are around 200 miles. This should get us into the stopover at about 3pm, time for a walk around the camp grounds and consume  the mandatory beer. Next stop was Rock Island IL. Who comes up with these names. Today I saw "Turkey Run State Park." Were there actual Turkeys and were they running Then I saw "Vendeemburg" . Not even Dirk . all knowing on  anything Dutch ( and Burg) could tell  what this meant . The next sign was "Lynch". This was presumably for the person who came up with these names. Then Salt Run, Salt Kettle. What's with the salt.
Next stop Des Moines IA  Des.

Great trip to this campsite. The road was free of bumps ( something that you really appreciate when your house is traveling down the highway at 55 mph) and the rest  stops were plentiful.

Tomorrow , Sioux Falls . Hope those Sioux's are not like Redskins !!

Watch out West, here we come!
