Day 8 Billings Montana

This update will cover the last 3 days.  Dirk made reference to the weather and arriving at our destinations, and due to very poor Internet connections or none at all, we were unable to do a proper update.

We woke up on Thursday morning with a little covering of snow on the table and the roofs of nearby houses.  Now the decision was, do we stay or do we get the hell out of Spearfish, before more snow comes and grounds us for a couple of days.  The camp manager assured us it was good to travel and the worst of the weather was over, so off we set for Buffalo.  The first part of the trip was a little scary, especially for us South Africans, with a little rain and then snow flurries.  Remember all the roads are well sign posted, reminding you that the"Bridges may be Icy", encouraging!  The comforting thought was knowing that if the snow got too much the authorities would close the Highway, luckily that didn't happen. We arrived at a very well run KOA park in Buffalo and by late afternoon the sun came out.

This morning we woke up to the most beautiful day.  We had a very uneventful trip up to Billings, Wyoming, where we will spend the next 3 nights. Really pretty park and because it is the beginning of Spring and Mother's Day weekend, we had to reserve our spot for 3 nights.  And guess what, the weather has changed again, it's raining again.

So it proves that this early in the season, one is likely to have 3 seasons in a day.

Hopefully we will be able to keep you all informed of our travels, more easily now, as my computer geek husband has now invested in a "Mobile Hotspot" so we don't have to rely on camp Internet.

So until next time, stay connected.
